Anti-Racism - 23/24

Framework has, in a very open manner, pronounced its commitment to giving higher priority to EDI issues. Critical to this is recognition of the need for a clear Anti-Racism policy aligned with the organisation’s core vision and purpose.

In pursuit of this, Framework has already embarked on an ‘engagement journey’ to ascertain the views of a wide range of its employees. This has led to a realisation of the need to ensure meaningful engagement and ‘deep listening’ to those with ‘lived experience’ of discrimination and inequalities.

This training session will give focused attention to the issue of Anti-Racism and its relevance to the Framework context. Managers will be encouraged to engage in an open and honest discourse about their role in supporting Framework on this journey.

Outcomes· To leave the training with a shared understanding of Framework’s commitment to anti-racism in the workplace and why.· To have a common understanding of privilege, bias, micro-aggressions and allyship.· To understand the different forms of racism in the workplace and society.· To feel confident challenging racial inequalities, oppressive norms, behaviours and assumptions.· To understand the leadership attributes required to create a culture of equity and respect within your team.· To understand your role in ensuring that anti-racism is mainstreamed and embedded within Framework’s policies, procedures and processes.· To feel confident linking your learning into practice.
